Green - is the color of balance and harmony, the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart. Green is also the colour of growth, the colour of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It renews and restores depleted energy. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being. This is why there is so much of this relaxing colour on the earth, and why we need to keep it that way.
Grey - is a cool, neutral, and balanced color. Grey is also the colour of formal, conservative, and sophistication. Gray conforms, it is conventional, dependable and practical. It is a color of maturity and responsibility. It's also the colour associated with leadership.
1st Belvedere is one of the rare scout groups who's adult leaders where scouts who have earned the top award (Springbok Award) in scouting. The adults have also completed many training courses that allows them to plan and run activities with safety as the bases of how they do things. Having a strong background in scouting has enabled our Scout Leaders to achieve many tertiary qualifications as well as good positions in the companies they work in. Proving once more that having a scouting background has positive results.
Governed by the Scout Law and Promise. Scouts have a much more positive interaction with the people around them, they always smiling and trying to uplift the community through their many community related projects. During difficult situations the Promise and Law help them over come it with it's positive message. Giving back, helping one another and not giving up is what we try and install into our scouts.
The scouting program is exhilarating. The activities range from camping, hiking, sailing, wide games, paintballing and many other exciting adventours that help create a long lasting memory for our scouts. There are also thrilling opportunities including over seas trips called Jamborees, during these events scouts meet and interact with scouts from all over the world!
